12) [Off-Topic] There are many forces in our society seeking to strip God
from our schools, but the courts have upheld the right to display our national
motto "In God We Trust" in school classrooms. Would you be willing
to assist in putting this motto in every school classroom in the district
by making a financial contribution in the future?

This off-topic question was part of the survey because it's something that's
an interest of mine. So many people today are seeking to overthrow our original
government and the constitution given by our founding fathers. Many times it
is those in congress that most loudly proclaim to love
and adore the
freedoms
we were
given in that amazing document.
Did you know that there is actually a federal law that states every September
17th is Constitution Day and EVERY school in the country that receives federal
funding is supposed to teach their students about the constitution that day?
"Public Law 108-477 Sec 111 (b) Each educational institution that receives
Federal funds for a fiscal year shall hold an educational program on the United
States Constitution on September 17 of such year for the students served by
the educational institution."
Now without trying to sound off-the-wall here, may I ask who authorized
the federal government to pass a law that tells states what we have to teach
our children? The constitution specifically states that all powers not delegated
to the congress are specifically reserved to the states. That includes education.
That includes the EPA. That includes a whole host of things the federal government
has done to stick their noses into our neighborhoods that they have no authorization
to do. (see "Drift
to World Government" at the Washington Times) The states should be
in charge of all those things.
So may I propose a simple program for September 17th. Start off the day with
the wonderful video "A
More Perfect Union" about the creation of the constitution and filmed
at Independence Hall, Williamsburg, Virginia.
Follow
that up with a discussion of the 10th Amendment protecting states' rights,
then bullet point and discuss the items the federal government is specifically
authorized to do on our behalf. Clearly point out that everything under the
sun that isn't on that short list is a state right and no business of the federal
government.
If we did this in the schools, we would raise a generation of youth prepared
to support true constitutional government and they could step forward onto
"Track Two" to save our country when the
train of our government, speeding toward a cliff edge of debt and bondage needs
switched to an alternate track that is safe and sound. Our federal
debt that pays for all kinds of
wonderful
feel-good things, isn't authorized to do most of them. If we reduced federal
spending by 80% we could still pay for everything the constitution authorizes
and the states, who manage better because they're closer would take care of
local issues better and more responsibly.

the movie in a regular or educational version with items for the classroom)

It must really irritate the folks at Alpine School District (ASD) who have taken to calling all my work "biased and flawed" to have such no-name disreputable organizations pandering to my lies. The legacy of ASD will be the disenfranchisement of tens of thousands of students unable to obtain a technical higher education degree.
