Educating All Parents To Ensure The Future Of Our Republic

Articles and Talks

Here are some articles and talks I have found inspiring

LDS Freedom Speeches

These talks are all classics.  Read just a little every day and soon you'll be through them all.

Actively Engaged in a Good Cause by Ezra Taft Benson- (Are you being neutralized in the battle? Have you been reduced to a sleeping giant? This is the most motivating talk I have ever read. Read it and help save the constitution.)

Ezra Taft Benson on The Proper Role of Government

"Is Socialism the United Order?" by Marion G. Romney in LDS General Conference of 1966

"Private Ownership...Under the United Order" by Pres. J. Reuben Clark

A Vision and a Hope for the Youth of Zion by Ezra Taft Benson given at BYU in 1977

Our Divine Constitution by Ezra Taft Benson (GC Oct 1987)

The Constitution, a Glorious Standard by Ezra Taft Benson (BYU Devotional 1986)

Civic Standards for the Faithful Saints by Ezra Taft Benson (July 1972 Ensign Article)

I Testify by Ezra Taft Benson (GC Oct 1988)

A Witness and a Warning by Ezra Taft Benson (GC Oct 1979)

Other Great Speeches/Papers

C.S. Lewis' classic expose on American education: "Screwtape Proposes a Toast"

Charlton Heston on Civil Disobedience (one of my favorites on standing up and letting your voice be heard)

Mark Skousen's Persuasion Vs. Force-Helps define how we ought to attack problems in society. Do we pass laws forcing people into a certain pathway, even if it's good for them, or do we use persuasion and allow their agency to dictate their actions? Very thought-provoking.

Using the Delphi Technique to Achieve Consensus-This article exposes what some consultants are doing around the country in community discussions. It's an important read just to be aware of the techniques being used to psychologically fool some people into accepting an outcome the group didn't contemplate accepting.

My Own Writings

Here's my own paper on freedom and agency which is a collection of my thoughts on these other authors' great work.
